Softball Recap: Jasper Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Jasper was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 12-2 to the Gibson Southern Titans. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Jasper saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Aguilera, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That run was Aguilera's first of the season.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 13-8-1. As for Gibson Southern, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Coming up, Jasper will be playing in front of their home fans against Vincennes Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Alices at the right time seeing as the Alices are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Gibson Southern, they will challenge Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
