Football Recap: Three Rivers Comes Up Short

After soaring to 40 points the game before, Three Rivers was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Flatonia 42-13. Three Rivers was not able to make up for their loss to Flatonia from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Paxton Soliz and Corbin Zamzow certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Soliz rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries, while Zamzow picked up 75 receiving yards and one score. Soliz's longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Three Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Flatonia, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Three Rivers and Flatonia will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs will square off against rival Freer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Flatonia is set to challenge their familiar foe Ganado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
