Football Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles vs. Big Bear Bears
Capistrano Valley Christian and Big Bear squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Capistrano Valley Christian had to settle for second. They fell 45-33 to the Big Bear Bears. The Eagles gained 83 more yards on the day, but it was the Bears that made the best use of them.
Despite the loss, Capistrano Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Luke Vincent, who picked up 240 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Vincent really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards. Joshua Monroe was in the mix too, providing Capistrano Valley Christian with two touchdowns.
Capistrano Valley Christian wouldn't let Big Bear keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jackson Prather, Michael Vukich, Sam Brown, and Drake Bothwell picked up one apiece. Prather also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 12.
Capistrano Valley Christian now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Big Bear, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

As for Big Bear, they have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Baldwin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
