Baseball Recap: Peninsula Comes Up Short

Peninsula has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.57 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Curtis Vikings. If the Seahawks were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Vikings when the teams met back in April of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaleb Copeland was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 13-7-1. As for Curtis, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Peninsula does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Curtis, they will venture away from home to challenge Puyallup at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Puyallup will roll in looking for their 22nd straight victory, something Curtis surely won't give up without a fight.
