Columbia Academy had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Zion Christian Academy Eagles as they made off with a 15-1 win. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Maine Metz looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gunner Skelton, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Jase Kincaid was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Columbia Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Columbia Academy pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Zion Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Columbia Academy will challenge The Webb School at 4:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Zion Christian Academy, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Zion Christian Academy Eagles challenge Franklin Christian Academy Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
