Wesleyan Christian Academy is 3-0 against High Point Central since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans will be taking part in a tournament against the High Point Central Bison at 12:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wesleyan Christian Academy has six straight wins, High Point Central has 31 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Wesleyan Christian Academy beat Greensboro Day School 66-58.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wesleyan Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kennedy Jackson, who went 8 of 19 on her way to 17 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Jackson has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Hawley, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists.

Wesleyan Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-22, which was the final score in High Point Central's tilt against Southwest Guilford on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while the Cowboys are ranked 166th).

Wesleyan Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for High Point Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Wesleyan Christian Academy against High Point Central when the teams last played back in December of 2019, as the squad secured a 67-39 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was High Point Central's Precious Hart-Mackenzie, who posted 29 points. Now that she won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Wesleyan Christian Academy to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
