While Kennett put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Dexter. The Indians put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 14-0 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 23 games by eight runs or more this season.
Emma Claire Bodkin and Handley McAtee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bodkin tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, McAtee kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. What's more, Bodkin posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. At bat, Bodkin went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while McAtee went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Kennett got a big performance out of Baylee Wilcut, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Lynnley Patterson was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Kennett's record now sits at 25-8. As for Dexter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
