            Softball Recap: Baldwin County Tigers vs. Ocean Springs Greyhounds        
        
		
        
        
            Baldwin County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ocean Springs Greyhounds.
 Nassar Brooks was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 Brooks wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Mary Drinkard, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. Those  two  hits gave  Drinkard a new career-high. Another  was  Julianna Thompson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
Baldwin County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Ocean Springs, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record  this season.
 Baldwin County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  an  11-4  loss against Central on the 21st. As for Ocean Springs, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  9-7  defeat against Satsuma on the 21st.
