Soccer Recap: Ashe County Comes Up Short

Ashe County lost against Alexander Central on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Huskies fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. Ashe County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Keslyn Durham, who's now up to eight this season.

Ashe County's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Alexander Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4-4.

Ashe County and Alexander Central will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Huskies see the pitch they'll take on Hibriten at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Alexander Central, their break will end when they face Watauga at 6:15 p.m. on the 29th.
