Football Recap: Grafton Comes Up Short

Grafton lost against Robert C. Byrd back in October of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats were just a hair shy of victory and fell 7-6 to the Eagles. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chace Kinsey threw for 84 yards and one touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes. Cole Runner was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards.

Grafton's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Robert C. Byrd, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, Grafton will head out to challenge Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bearcats will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Robert C. Byrd, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Marion at 7:00 p.m. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
