Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral was the 3-1 winner over Legend when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Saturday.

Chaparral's offense was headlined by Cameron Beasley and Luke Vigil, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Ryan Carrizales and his 16 assists. Vigil was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Chaparral has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Legend, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Chaparral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Highlands Ranch on the 15th. As for Legend, they are taking a road trip to challenge Douglas County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight.
