Softball Recap: Whiteland Gets the Win

While Whiteland's victory against Mooresville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Pioneers on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 on Wednesday.

Whiteland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Felker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Felker has posted since back in April. Kiley Sullivan was another, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Whiteland and bumps their season record up to 15-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Mooresville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-11.

Whiteland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against East Central on the 27th. As for Mooresville, they have also already played their next game, a 9-0 win against Terre Haute North Vigo on the 23rd.
