Kettering came into their game  on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost  3-0 to the South Lyon Lions. The Captains' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 While Kettering was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into South Lyon's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-10,  25-17.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Lyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Lucy Stoll, who  had 11  aces and six  digs. Those  11  aces gave  Stoll a new career-high.
Kettering's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for South Lyon, the  victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 21-5.
 Coming up, Kettering is taking a road trip to  face off against Wayne Memorial  on Saturday. As for South Lyon, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Mary's Prep  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
