Preview: Dupree Tigers vs. Bison Cardinals
The Dupree Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Bison Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Dupree will be strutting in after a win while Bison will be coming in after a defeat.
Two weeks ago, Dupree narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Harding County 54-52.
Meanwhile, Bison lost to Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig/Mott-Regent] at home by a decisive 52-36 margin on Saturday.
The losing side was boosted by Rylee Veal, who scored 16 points along with two steals. That was a full 44.4% of Bison's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Stadler, who scored ten points along with two steals.
The victory got Dupree back to even at 3-3. As for Bison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Dupree was able to grind out a solid win over Bison in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 50-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dupree since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
