Soccer Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty entered their matchup against Orange Vista on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Liberty Bison fell just short of the Orange Vista Coyotes by a score of 2-1. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Andrew Sanchez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-3. As for Orange Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-3 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Liberty will square off against AGBU at 3:00 p.m. on February 13th. AGBU will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Liberty surely won't give up without a fight. As for Orange Vista, they will challenge Garey at 3:00 p.m. on February 13th. Garey will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
