Basketball Game Preview: Sterling Raiders vs. Madison Marlins

The Sterling Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Madison Marlins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Wednesday, Sterling came up short against Westbury and fell 48-39.

Meanwhile, Madison came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 60-28. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Marlins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Mustangs are ranked 1484th).

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Madison, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.

Sterling took a serious blow against Madison when the teams last played back in December of 2025, falling 83-37. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
