Recap: Branson Pirates vs. Neosho Wildcats
The Branson Pirates lost to the Neosho Wildcats back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Branson snuck past Neosho with a 58-54 win.
Despite the loss, Neosho still got an impressive performance from Tyrone Harris, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Kaiden Asberry was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Branson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Neosho, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Branson will be playing at home against Carl Junction at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Neosho, they will head out on the road to challenge Joplin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Neosho focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
