Volleyball Recap: Davie County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Davie County was the 3-1 winner over Lake Norman when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The War Eagles fell 3-1 to the Wildcats on Monday.

While Davie County had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Davie County still got an impressive performance from Ella Shea, who had 16 digs and three aces. Shea has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Avery Bessho was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Davie County's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lake Norman, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

Davie County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Norman, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Mooresville on the 14th.
