Basketball Recap: Carrollton Comes Up Short

Carrollton lost against Langston Hughes back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Carrollton Trojans were dealt a 68-36 defeat at the hands of the Langston Hughes Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Panthers are ranked 51st).

Carrollton dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Langston Hughes, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Carrollton will be playing in front of their home fans against Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Langston Hughes, they will face off against Banneker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
