Basketball Recap: Sparrows Point Takes a Loss

Sparrows Point came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Owings Mills Golden Eagles by a score of 67-64 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pointers have suffered since January 3rd.

Sparrows Point now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Owings Mills, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Sparrows Point will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Patapsco at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Owings Mills, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Owings Mills Golden Eagles duke it out with the Northeast Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
