Recap: Manvel Mavericks vs. La Porte Bulldogs
The Manvel Mavericks won the last time they faced the La Porte Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Manvel greeted the New Year with with a 57-41 win over La Porte. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Manvel.
La Porte lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gian Guardiola, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Mason Bell, who scored six points along with seven assists.
Manvel's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for La Porte, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ball the next time they take the court. Manvel will host Ball at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while La Porte will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
