Volleyball Recap: Tree of Life Christian Starts Season with Loss at Home

Tree of Life Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Centerburg by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Tree of Life Christian was not able to make up for their loss to Centerburg from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Tree of Life Christian started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 22-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-12.

Megan Donnally and Mimi Cochran certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Donnally had 12 digs and two aces, while Cochran had ten digs and two aces.

Centerburg pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tree of Life Christian will challenge Mansfield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centerburg, they will face off against East Knox at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
