Basketball Recap: River Ridge's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

River Ridge waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They wrapped up 2024 with a 45-27 win over the North Crawford Trojans. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Trojans are ranked 409th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

River Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for North Crawford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

River Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-18 win against Iowa-Grant on the 28th. As for North Crawford, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kickapoo at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
