Volleyball Recap: Waukegan's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Waukegan waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Saint Viator Lions. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Waukegan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Joshua Biggs paced Waukegan's offense, picking up 15 kills. Biggs got some help from Alexander MIllan-Colin and his 36 assists. Sergio Martinez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Waukegan's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Saint Viator, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Waukegan is taking a road trip to challenge Warren Township at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Saint Viator, they will take on Taft in a tournament on Saturday.
