After having lost a blowout in their previous game against McConnellsburg, Grace Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Heritage Academy Eagles 11-9. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Jaeden Peterson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Ingram, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. AJ Presley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Grace Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Grace Academy's record now sits at 3-1. As for Heritage Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Grace Academy will take on Washington at 4:30 p.m. on the 10th. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Heritage Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Calvary Christian Academy on the 3rd.
