Volleyball Recap: St. Philip Catholic Central Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

St. Philip Catholic Central and Mendon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. Philip Catholic Central had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Tigers in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost nine in a row.

St. Philip Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 25-16-5. As for Mendon, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 35-6-1.

St. Philip Catholic Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mendon, they will square off against Hillsdale Academy on Tuesday.
