Soccer Game Preview: North Vermilion vs. Episcopal of Acadiana

The North Vermilion Patriots and the Episcopal of Acadiana Falcons will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

North Vermilion took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Tara a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Patriots were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Episcopal of Acadiana fell victim to Lakeshore and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeshore. The loss was the Falcons' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Episcopal of Acadiana fell to 2-1. As for North Vermilion, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
