Football Recap: Saben Turner and Jayln Johnson Lead the Defense for AZ Compass Prep Win

AZ Compass Prep won the last time they faced Skyline Prep and Carston 'Diesel' Robinson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Dragons claimed a resounding 66-0 win over the Bengals for which the team can thank Robinson, who threw for 135 yards and four TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 34 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

AZ Compass Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Saben Turner and Jayln Johnson.

AZ Compass Prep's record is now 7-0. As for Skyline Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, AZ Compass Prep will face off against Heritage Academy Gateway at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Heroes have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Skyline Prep, they will square off against American Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Skyline Prep will be up against American Leadership Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.88 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
