Volleyball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

If Springfield was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Miamisburg on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ansonia Tigers on Saturday.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ansonia, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Springfield and Ansonia will both be playing Mississinawa Valley the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Blackhawks at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
