Basketball Recap: West-Oak Skates Past Pendleton with Ease

West-Oak won the last time they faced Pendleton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The West-Oak Warriors took their matchup with ease, bagging a 77-29 victory over the Pendleton Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 48 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West-Oak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kinady Marcengill, who went 9 of 16 on her way to 26 points and five steals. Marcengill continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reagan Mobley, who posted 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

West-Oak smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games.

West-Oak's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Pendleton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West-Oak will challenge Walhalla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Walhalla will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something West-Oak surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pendleton, they will square off against Belton-Honea Path at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
