Volleyball Recap: Eastside Eagles vs. Boiling Springs Bulldogs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dorman, Eastside was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Boiling Springs Bulldogs 3-2. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Eastside took Boiling Springs into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 19-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Boiling Springs still got an impressive performance from Stephanie Blair Mull, who had 27 digs. With that strong performance, Mull is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game. Emma Fowler was another key player, getting 14 digs and two aces.

The victory got Eastside back to even at 13-13. As for Boiling Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.
