Basketball Recap: Cottondale Hornets vs. Sneads Pirates
There's no place like home for Cottondale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Sneads Pirates by a score of 53-41 on Friday. The Hornets pushed the score to 41-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates cut but never quite recovered from.

Cottondale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Odom, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Odom has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tramond Collins, who went 7 of 10 en route to 16 points and five boards.

With the win, Cottondale broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-8. As for Sneads, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
