Basketball Recap: MACCRAY Comes Up Short

MACCRAY came up into this matchup off a tough 37-point defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints by a score of 58-55 on Friday. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Saints earlier this season, when they won 57-50.

MACCRAY has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MACCRAY will challenge Ortonville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. MACCRAY is facing Ortonville at the right time seeing as Ortonville is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, they will square off against Eden Valley-Watkins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Eden Valley-Watkins will have lost nine straight heading into Monday's matchup.
