Basketball Recap: Kaden Bradley Key Part of a Team Effort in Bears Win

On Saturday, the Bradford Prep Bears didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the York Prep Patriots, but they still walked away with a 65-59 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 287th in North Carolina, while the Patriots are ranked 100th in South Carolina).

Bradford Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Bradley, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave Bradley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Hanson, who posted 13 points and seven boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Bradford Prep and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for York Prep, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Bradford Prep will take on Corvian Community at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradford Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4 points per game this season. As for York Prep, they will challenge Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully York Prep likes a good challenge.
