Basketball Recap: Brooklyn Duggan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Macks Creek over St. Elizabeth

The Macks Creek Pirates fell 44-34 to the St. Elizabeth Hornets on Saturday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 60-50.

Macks Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brooklyn Duggan, who posted ten points and three steals. Emma Seaholm was another key player, putting up four points along with eight boards and three blocks.

Macks Creek's record now sits at 21-5. As for St. Elizabeth, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.
