Basketball Game Preview: Tri-County North Panthers vs. Dixie Greyhounds

Tri-County North hasn't had much luck against Dixie recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tri-County North Panthers will welcome the Dixie Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tri-County North is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Franklin Monroe 73-40. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 742nd, while the Jets are ranked 220th).

Meanwhile, Dixie unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 70-33 loss at the hands of Tri-Village. The matchup marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tri-County North's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Tri-County North took a serious blow against Dixie in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 64-29. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Tri-County North was down 46-18.
