Football Recap: Stanton Takes a Loss

Stanton had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it eight. They were dealt a 71-7 loss at the hands of the Wall Hawks. The Buffaloes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 71-0.

As for Wall, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won nine contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Landon York had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 142 yards and five TDs on perfect 8-for-8 passing. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Another player making a difference was Hagyn Barbee, who rushed for 59 yards and one touchdown.

Stanton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wall, they will be playing at home against Anthony at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
