Basketball Recap: Inglemoor Vikings vs. Bellevue Wolverines

Inglemoor lost against Bellevue back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Inglemoor Vikings took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bellevue Wolverines. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Wolverines are ranked 20th).

Bellevue got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauryn Keilman out in front who went 5 for 8 on her way to 11 points in addition to eight blocks and seven boards. Those 11 points gave Keilman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Athena LaBow, who posted 13 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Inglemoor and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Bellevue, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inglemoor will face off against Mercer Island at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Mercer Island is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season. Bellevue has already played their next matchup (against Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
