Elizabethtown proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted against the Pioneers since April 10, 2023.

Elizabethtown's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elizabethtown will head out to square off against Manheim Central at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Barons have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they are taking a road trip to challenge Northern Lebanon at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Pioneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
