Atlanta had won eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 7-1 to make it nine. They strolled past the Liberty-Eylau Leopards with points to spare, taking the game 33-19. For the Rabbits, this counts as revenge for the 42-6 victory the Leopards walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
Jayden Riley had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 62 yards and two scores.
As for Liberty-Eylau, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5. Despite 216 more yards than Atlanta, the Leopards couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Despite the loss, Liberty-Eylau still got an impressive performance from Arian Taylor, who rushed for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Taylor's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 115 rushing yards. Kaiden Peacock also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Atlanta will challenge rival Tatum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Liberty-Eylau is set to take on their familiar foe White Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 867 yards in their previous games.
