Softball Recap: Kanab Takes a Loss

Kanab was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parowan Rams. Even if the Cowboys couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Marissa Jensen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Jensen, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Kanab's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Parowan, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-16.

While Kanab had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
