Maria Carrillo's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Analy Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Pumas, who have now won three contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Paige Richards spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Rachaely Yaya was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Erin Kelleher, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Maria Carrillo hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.

Maria Carrillo's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Analy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Maria Carrillo and Analy will both be playing Windsor the next time they take the field. The Pumas will host the Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
