Basketball Recap: Douglass Comes Up Short

Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 45-23 to the Booker T. Washington Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-11 back in January.

Antaniya Britt was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and nine steals for Booker T. Washington. Booker T. Washington is 5-2 when Britt posts five or more steals, but 8-9 otherwise. Malia Johnson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Douglass nor Booker T. Washington have any future games scheduled.
