Baseball Game Preview: Dublin Coffman Shamrocks vs. Dublin Jerome Celtics

The Dublin Coffman Shamrocks will take on the Dublin Jerome Celtics at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dublin Coffman is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Dublin Scioto on Friday as they made off with a 12-2 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

James Baughman tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Danny Briggs, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Walti, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Dublin Jerome had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against West Jefferson by a score of 9-6 on Thursday.

Dublin Coffman's record now sits at 3-7. As for Dublin Jerome, their record is now 3-6.

Dublin Coffman suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Dublin Jerome when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Shamrocks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
