Basketball Recap: Foster's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Foster entered their tilt with Renton on Saturday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 61-60 W against the Renton Red Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 74-69 last Wednesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Myjeer Rigney, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 17 points along with five assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Rigney a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah White, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Foster's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Renton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foster will head out to take on R.A. Long at 6:00 p.m. on March 1st. R.A. Long will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Foster surely won't give up without a fight. As for Renton, they will head out on the road to challenge Columbia River at 4:00 p.m. on March 1st. Columbia River knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Renton likes a good challenge.
