Softball Game Preview: Lone Jack Mules vs. Adrian Blackhawks

For the second straight game, Lone Jack will face off against Adrian. The Mules will challenge the Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lone Jack is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over Adrian on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Mules, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kaylee Felix was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophia Randolph, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Randolph is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Reese Evenson, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Lone Jack always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adrian only posted an OBP of .323.

Adrian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Lone Jack, their record is now 4-5.
