Legacy Charter triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Mallory Daniels

Recap: Legacy Charter Eagles vs. Orangewood Christian Rams

The Legacy Charter Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They strolled past Orangewood Christian with points to spare, taking the game 46-31.

Mallory Daniels was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with nine steals and five assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Legacy Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Kraus, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five steals.

Legacy Charter's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Orangewood Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Charter will take on Pine Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pine Ridge is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Orangewood Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against The First Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 12th. The First Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
