Basketball Recap: Bethel Takes a Loss

Bethel was the 42-39 winner over Nome-Beltz when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bethel Warriors took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nome-Beltz Nanooks on Saturday.

Wookie Nichols was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 19 points. KJ West was another key player, putting up eight points.

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Nome-Beltz, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Bethel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nome-Beltz, they will challenge Barrow on Friday.
