Basketball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

Westside lost against Josey back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patriots were beaten by the Eagles 69-24. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.

Shamira Moss went supernova For Josey., dropping a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Zakayla Williams was another key player, putting up ten points.

Westside now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Josey, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Westside will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd. As for Josey, they have already played their next game, a 57-38 loss against Campbell on the 28th.
