Beaver waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Chartiers Valley Colts. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Derek Hughes and Junior Marino did most of the damage at the plate: Hughes went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Marino went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That home run marked the first that Hughes has launched this season.

Beaver's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Chartiers Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

As of now, neither Beaver nor the Colts have any future games scheduled.
